New to me Morrison Shawnee: FINALLY FOUND A MORRISON!
« on: March 27, 2008, 07:36:00 PM »
Well, after many months of searching I have purchased my first ever Morrison bow. I can say it was well worth the wait. WOW-It is really fast. Nice on the eyes too. The search will be on now for recurve limbs to add to the package as it currently has dakota longbow limbs. Here are some photo's.   :archer:

Welcome to the Tribe! Nice bow, hard to beat a Morrison. Have fun. The recurve limbs are real sweat as well. I'm a longbow shooter but tried a set of Arapahoe limbs last year and now have a set. Guy needs both and one can never have too many Morrisons way I see it.

It is 60" and 47#@28.The limb tips are Kudu and the limbs are Bamboo. It flat out smokes an arrow. By the naked eye,it seems to outshoot my ACS CX in the same specs(62" bow).

Kevin,
Glad to see you picked that one up. I did not think it was going to last long in the global economy. Now save up and get a set of the carbon/foam dakota limbs and you will really see what that baby can do. tom

So what do you Morrison veterans suggest-Get a set of Foam Carbon Dakota limbs or a set of recurve foam core limbs??

For years I was strickly a longbow man, mainly because recurves didn't hit the spot I was looking at.  But the Morrison Shawnee hits the same spot for me with both Dakota and Arapaho limbs.  I now have two Shawnee Arapahos and one Shawnee Dakota and love them all.  I guess the only difference I notice is that the Arapaho limbs might draw a smidge smoother at the same draw weight.
