I didn't watch the video but I think this can be very dangerous, especially for someone that isn't completely comfortable with the process. I've cut hickory backing strips with my table saw until one shot out the back. Fortunately I was out of the way. A bandsaw is a lot safer.

I shot one clear across the shop one time with the table saw, 27 feet...

this is safer and make sure you will not turn yourself into sish kebab.
by the way: i am expert on making sish kebabs and stuff, anyone visiting here be my guest.
