Question for 56" Kanati Shooters
« on: December 16, 2018, 11:27:31 AM »
I have the opportunity to buy a new to me Kanati longbow. Actually I have a choice between two. One is a 58" and the other a 56". My question is, for those of you that own a 56" Kanati, if you draw close to 29" as I do, is stacking or finger-pinch an issue. I know Jason recommends a 56" for draw lengths up to 28" but was wondering if I could get away with a little longer draw. I have reached out to Jason but am waiting a reply so i figured I'd ask here.Thanks.

ive shot 56" and 58" Kanati longbows.  I didn't care for the 56".  I think a 58 or 60" Kanati is one of the better shooting 1pc. bows made today. They are built like tanks and have one of my personal favorite grips. Fred i only draw 28

The 58" is probably ok for no stack, but the 60" would be better. The lead-time is pretty quick. I'd wait for a 60".
The problem is the Kanati will become your #1 bow. So you may as well get on that fits perfect.
My draw is 30" The Kanati in the video is a 60". I have no stack and I'm not bothered by finger pinch. (I am shooting split finger).
The video below is a 60" Kanati drawn to 30". (I am canting the bow, it is not held vertically) you can see the tip is not over drawn but it is probably near it's comfortable limit. Jason would know better what the limits of draw are

56 is to short.  My boy shoots a 56" Kanati and he has a 26" draw.  I'm over 30 and I've played with his bow just goofing around and I don't get close to my full draw.

Mine is 56" but I draw 27", so it's about perfect. (Favorite bow). I agree with everyone that 58" or even 60" would fit your draw length better. I'm sure Jason will steer you right.

56" works well for me.  No finger pinch and, smooth from beginning to end of the draw.
I draw 28".

Hey, Jr!
I understand - it has become the bow by which I judge all others.  For me, it has been the easiest to shoot, most naturally pointing bow I've shot.  She's in loving hands!
