Well most everyone knows I like 3pcs TD longbows. and just abot anything else ya pull a string on. I wanted to show a couple of these in this post. first my 3 Amigos. Shawnee Crowcreek and my Lewis Brookshire III sticshooter spl. All 3 shoot great and are all quiet and fast amd reall smooth. Lewis made only I think 3 of these and we have 2 of them and We thank him. They are all 62". These will NOT being going anywhere soon. with these I am set for a longtime. Now if ya look at my Shawnee you mat notice Antler limbbolts. These are just a prototype set the set I make for my bow will have a smaller burr and will sit closer to the riesr. abd the Crowcreek well anyone that has shot one or owned already knows they aew top of the linse and and sweeter then Honey.<><

Here's a better pic so ya can see what the limb bolts look like kinda. sory for the blurry pic. Also the steel spacers will be shorter and covered with snake skins or coating of solid colors to match the bow better and not be bare metal and shiney.will be using smaller diamter burrs, these are just an exampled pic. please let me know what ya all think of the Shawnee limb bolt idea. As always we are looking for HONEST opinions <><

Yep you are set for a while, we all know the reputation of the Crow Creek and the Shawnee.
But I am in total awe of Lewis's bow that thing looks great, I love the profile of it.
Frank you better look out I seen some his knives to, they look great.

No Kenny those lams are for Me, Im hoping to get some Shawnee Dakota limbs made with them at some point. Im gonna save them until I save up enough to get them made.
I am very glad you like the bow Frank, I built 5 of them with the guidance of Bowyer Extrordinare Gene Sanders. One broke, Frank and Shell each have one, I have one and a buddy of mine has another.
And I am only half the knife maker Frank is...but if he keeps telling me all his secrets im hoping to get better

I know this is the spotlight on the 3 amigos and limb bolts but just gotta show off my Lil' sweetness by Lewis made very early last year... so purty and last year at several shoots we were able to attend, it gathered crowds of those asking who the maker was as many were impressed by the design including bowyers and loved the lines. I had to break the news that there were only a few made and those few are not exactly alike but individually modified, I think mine is the most petite riser of them and that grip fits like it was custom fit for my hand.... and that I'll never part with it. Perfect weight on the limbs for comfort in shooting with my side pain and can hunt with it as well... it shoots so well for me and accurate with that grip, I honestly think the most quiet bow I've heard being shot.
The deep figured rosewood and rusty color of the paduke with the strip outlines are perfect with the zebrawood veneered limbs...but the way Lewis modified the recurve riser in curves and lines with a set of longbow limbs won me over at first glance.
Here is a few pics of mine
Like Lewis said, Gene sure made a bow and know why they are hard to come by.

Now you are making me blush Shell! LOL Im just happy you guys like them!
Gene is a Great Man, Great bowyer and a Great teacher. I am NO where near a tenth of the bowyer that Gene was/is.
I just wish he was still building bows. I have owned 11 of his in allin the last 3 years and everyone of them were Sweet! I just wish I could locate one of his Foward handle viper longbows. Its the only model I havent owned of his. He only made them the last year or so he was building so they are few are far between. It was the fastest bow he made to date. Looks kinda like a Shrew but shot better than one to me. I got to shoot one of them but never have owned one.
