Bear Magniesmn riser colors

I plan to refinish an A Bear riser.  I want to go with an original color.  Have any of you matched a rattle can paint to a Bear color? Red, black, and Masi brown colors come to mind. Plan to go with a semi gloss like the newer risers had.  For anyone who has refinished one of these risers I would appreciate any advise.  On surface it looks body shop basics.

I refinished one a few years ago.  It originally had the greenish 'flocked' finish but I went back with Rustoleum Textured paint in their "Desert Bisque" color.  The paint has some grit to it and I like the way it turned out.  I prepped the riser by completely stripping it down and sand blasting the old finish off down to bare metal, primed it and painted it.  It's been a pretty durable finish.
