I met Dave through Compton, I remember walking past the table he was at and always being greeted by that big smile. I only knew him through Compton and at the gatherings but knew he was a good guy. He will sure be missed and I feel for his family. This is a terrible loss.

Prayers for Dave and his family.

My wife and I made the trip to Rising Sun, IN to attend the viewing yesterday...we just got home at 1:45am this morning.  The viewing opened at 2pm and we arrived at 2:30pm.  It took us 3 hours to make it to the family to pay our respects and the line never went down as long as we were there.  I'm only saying this to let people know how much Dave meant to everyone in his community!  He obviously led a great life and had a positive influence on all that he met.  He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and community.  Prayers to his family for comfort during this difficult time!  Rest in Peace my friend!

I didn't know Dave but apparently he was liked by many. Sorry for the loss of another influential trad archer.
