Rediscovered The Bent Stick
« on: April 02, 2008, 06:42:00 PM »
I was looking for ideas for laying out a hickory stave I had recently purchased. I came across The Bent Stick written by Paul Comstock. What a great manual!!! I have not finished re-reading the entire book, but it is full of useful information. Once I finish with this book, I am going to have to see what other jewels I have in my library. What bow building jewels do you have in your library?

Building the Osage Bow by Dean Torges provides excellent instruction and even better philosophy.

I like the webpage, nice compilation of information too.
Only when the last tree has died
and the last river been poisoned
and the last fish been caught
will we realize that we cannot eat money
