The old horse had to have one more ride
« on: March 22, 2019, 11:13:30 PM »
We were shooting this morning, and my friend found an old arrow in the grass, while looking for one of his own.  Just for fun, he shot it at the next target we came to.  You can see the results....

True, we were shooting from 40 yards, and the raggedy old feathers on that arrow didn’t leave it far from being a bare shaft. Not sure how much good it will do him to know that the best tuned arrow for his bow is one that has sat out in the rain until it got waterlogged. Maybe he could leave his arrows in the bathtub for a few days before he shoots them?

There you have it.

Found an old hickory shafts on a 3-D shoot with about half of one fletch left.  Shoot it and it was the right spine.  Shot it for the rest of 3-D season until it found a large rock.  Christened it "3-D".
