1981 thru 1984 Bear Grizzly trademark question
« on: December 29, 2018, 08:33:11 PM »
I have a Bear Grizzly marked with serial number GR06486.  My research shows these GR numbered Grizzlies were made from 1981 thru 1984.  Bear had been moved to Gainesville FL since 1978.  I see the white markings on my bows trademark still show it made by Bear Archery in Grayling, Michigan.  Was it a fluke to have the Grayling trademark at least 5 years after moving to Florida?  Does this make this bow unique?  Any of you Bear experts ever seen this?

The GR serial number prefix was used from 1978 to 1984. You probably have a 1978.

I'd think it was rather odd to have a Gainesville bow with a grayling silkscreen. I might suspect it was refinished and with the wrong silkscreen.

The GR serial number prefix was used from 1978 to 1984. You probably have a 1978.
