Good Therapy
« on: April 03, 2008, 09:39:00 PM »
Going through the stresses of life, sometimes you need a little help coping.  Some people might fall back on alcohol or other substances, but what did I fall back on?  "Let's build some bows"
I'm new at this and this has been my first go at it....but I've been happy with the results.

Excuse the messy and cramped workspace, but these are a few bows that I have made in the past couple of months.

Sideview of braced bows. One straight long bow, one deflex/reflex/and one recurve.

One long bow on tiller stick. Now that I look at the picture, I could have tweeked the tiller a little better but it's a fine shooter.

Next project in the works, ready to start tillering.

View of a couple grips.

Limb tips.  I really like the two tone look, cherry and walnut.

This is something I haven't seen yet, laminated side-by-side(maple), instead of the normal laminations.

Me drawing a recurve that I made.  I lost a lot of the recurve because I had a limb tip cut off center, so I had to shorten it to correct the problem.

Can't complain about a dedicated shop, no matter how big.  Beats all the junk in the garage.  Looks like your doing well, of course, in my book, a little scotch goes well with swapping lies on bows and hunts....cheers.
