2019 PA Spring Gobbler
« on: April 27, 2019, 09:39:26 PM »
Great morning in the woods here In PA  I have been watching birds for the past 2 weeks before work things didn't go as  planned all was quiet from firstlite till about 9:30 am when I decided to stretch my leg and get out of the blind glad I looked 2 hens and the tom where coming up the ridge to the top field i had my decoys and blind set they circled the blind with the hens committing to the setup and the tom very cautious to move in but he did and so when he postured the jake I zeroed him high in the thighs and I knew immediately at impact he wasnt going far I am so excited and Turkey season is and will always be top of the list for me! The bird was roughly 18lb with a 8" beard and not much for spurs but guessing a 2 yr old I was using my timberghost apparition longbow and simmons tigersharks for the business end
