Books for new bowyers
« on: June 26, 2019, 12:20:17 PM »
Guys I have been playing around with the idea of building an ilf riser for myself. I have no idea where to find info on the math needed to build these things. How long should it be? What limb pocket angle? Ideal locations for the shelf ect. Are there books and or technical manuals available? What about for just building glass bows in general. I see binghams has instructions but, not necessarily books on how to design and build these things.

When I wanted to make glass bows I looked around the web for books not a lot where written ,self bows tons glass bows not much I found these two books both helped me a lot but I got a lot of help around here asking dumb questions...lol The Harison book is really detailed for the type of bow he makes but every thing pretty much applies to other glass bows he is a little opinionated but if you look beyond that its a great book !

If you fear failure, you will never try ! But never except it!!
