I was visiting family in Keystone a 2 hr. drive away so I decided to go( first time). Got there Thursday afternoon, helped with the new tent and shot 3 courses afterward, got rained on halfway through the extreme course, got a little soggy but not drenched, it was fun and a challenge navigating the courses, not for anyone out for a leisurely walk through the forest. Little did I know it was the best day to shoot. I stayed in town 20 min ride away on a Co. dirt gravel Rd, not good when the weather turns wet and snowy. Sat. morning started out beautiful after a hard spring I mean summer snow all day Fri. witch I never even attempted to go up there that day, instead I went to Glenwwood Springs and soaked in the Hot Springs all day. I made it back up Sat morning( whew) I should of not attempted that, but did not drive much further in from the entrance the road in was very wet and rutted so I walked the rest of the way to the food tent, Ate breakfast shot in the snow a little and left about 11:30 to get back to a family function in Dillon. The Drive back to Dillon was great highway 70 was dry and the sun was shinning, of course that changed quickly and it rained and snowed till Mon. morning witch again was a beautiful day to travel back home. I think the weather changed from sun to rain to snow about 20 or more times throughout the time I was out there, early summer in the mountains can be a wonderful bitch depending on weather you stayed safe or not. Not gonna comment any further because of the weather, I hope everyone got out of there safely.
