One headed to Texas
« on: April 17, 2019, 08:27:14 PM »
I finished this bow up for a friend in Texas - Larry Dix (caddo here on TradGang).
I met Larry last June a Bear Quest and we hit it off well with me flubbing shots at bears and him busting my you know whats about my "bear fever".  I was shooting a reverse handle ASL and Larry really liked it so I built him one.  He's gonna build me an osage selfbow sometime.

Here it is.  Pretty simple and elegant.
Osage riser and lams, with green glass.

That's really pretty John, love the Osage. These reverse handles are starting to grow on me. Ever do one with deflex/reflex limbs?
We are all here because we are not all there.

Thanks guys.

Paul - I did that one that you shot at Shade Mnt. that was a Kenny M design, but it was much shorter (58").

I kind of thought that too with as bright as the osage is right now.
I wasn't sure about the osage/green glass combo at first, but once it was done I liked the contrast.  It will be really nice a year from now once the osage darkens a bit.

Yeah, I like this design.
Larry received it and shot it for the first time tonight.  He seems to like this design too.
