Thanks John. The last time I limped out of the mountains from an elk hunt. I avoided knee surgery with lots of pt. Previous back issues pretty much the same tack was taken and that worked out pretty well. During that stuff the Dr said “don’t take up long distance running”. I replied I don’t do that and he said “yes but you do carry heavy packs on your back in the mountains.”Now another condition unrelated to the back and knee issues has arisen and I can’t avoid surgery this time. We will see I guess. My son lives in CO and elk hunting with him was just the best of times. I’d like to do that again. But irregardless of all that, I like the way you think; thanks for sharing your experience. I am in the midst of planning a bear hunt this coming spring with a certain Canadian; a new bow is arriving today so I am definitely not giving up. Best to you guys,Gary
