Don’t know the answer to your question, but will recommend Big Jim’s Quick Stick hot melt glue for inserts in any arrows!!!!

Probably work for awhile but it becomes brittle over time and will most likely fail.

I've been using the blue low temp glue for all my inserts exclusively for 5 years now.  I've not yet seen a single failure - and this is across 10's of dozens of arrows (I have a bit of an addiction...)

Never used it but results like that are conclusive! Never saw a rehab for arrow addiction but I hope you find help :biglaugh:

Probably one of the worst choices for that application.

Agree, but if you're going off hunting with no other alternatives, at least you can comfort yourself with the fact that nothing bad is going to happen between the time you shoot the arrow and the time it hits the target.

Why not get some 10 minute epoxy and be sure it will hold?

Gel super glue.

The op was talking about the carbon inserts, not the aluminum ones. One can not put heat to any carbon, be it shafting and/or inserts.

with carbon arrows, install a field point in the insert, then heat the FP and insert and apply the hot melt to the insert, install into the carbon shaft. may want to dunk the tip in water to cool it off after installed.
