Does anyone have experience using 3M or VViViD type vinyl materials on bow limbs? It is basically a sticky back sheet with color applied to it. Kind of like the zoomy car guys use for graphic wraps. I found a really cool camo pattern that would look great on the conversion bow project I am working on. From reading the application instructions it is applied to a clean surface and then heat set with a hair dryer.
I have looked at the Onestringer Limbsations (and they are GREAT products from my experience) but he doesn't have this camo pattern. Another neat feature of these films is that they can be heat formed onto shapes other than just flat surfaces so I could camo the top of a strap-on quiver with the same stuff.
What I would really like to know is if the vinyl can be sprayed with a matte clear coat (will it stick?) to protect the color and the surface from hard wear.
I am happy to be the guinea pig on this... just thought I would see what knowledge was out there.
Thanks,
OkKeith
