Best shooters, Do they use a glove or tab?

Do most of the top shooters out there use gloves or tabs?  I looked at quite a few sources and couldn't really determine.

However,

I talked with an archery coach this last weekend that insisted on tabs.  From what I was told, this man coached/taught a young man how to shoot and the young man wound up a triple crown winner. I honestly don't know what that is, but figured it must be good.  

My question is not which is better, but what do the best use?

Best, as in Olympic shooters (the most accurate finger shooters without wheels)?  They all, as far as I know, shoot tabs.  Best, as in shooting animals, is completely different.  Unless you are a hardcore target shooter, I don't think you'll notice any real difference, but tabs do provide the smoothest possible release.  I have never been able to get used to one, but I kind of wish I had started out with one because of the slick release.  If you've always shot a glove, you might find a tab tough to get the feel of; if you're just starting, I'd try a tab (get a good one).  Good luck, Paul.

Some of the best glove shooters that I have seen have inserted/sewn something into the finger sections to stiffen them up a bit which prevents the soft glove leather from developing a crease/memory and produces a smoother release.  

I have observed that a lot of people that shoot with a glove don't have one that fits them properly.  If the glove is too big, the leather can bunch up on the string and impact release.

Ive seen some great shooters , the best used gloves....:)Some of the best hunters Ive seen use tabs...

Howard Hill, Fred Bear, Byron Ferguson, all glove guys.  I myself prefer a stiff glove like the Howard Hill deluxe.  Started with a tab, just prefer the feel of a glove, but I always reccommend a tab to beginers.

I now use a tab for 3D/targets as I get a little smoother release but use a glove for hunting as it just works better for me putting the arrow on the string etc. I can also cut 3 fingers out of a glove and ware it over my shooting glove when it's cold to keep my hand warm.
I hunted with a tab for years and it worked OK but I've found I just like the glove better now.

Back when I shot high poundage compounds with fingers I would cut out pieces of a plastic milk jug and glue them to the inside of the fingers of my glove. Works great

the best shooters get the best by doing what works for them.  1000 archers who use a tab the best will not make you use yours any better.

I was told (by one of the top IBO shooters) that most use a Cavilier Elite tab.

I shot a glove for years, but I'm trying to swap over.  Makes a huge difference in my release, but it does take some getting used to.

I started with a glove but when I got into olympic style shooting, I switched to a tab (Cavalier Elite). I get a much cleaner release with the tab. So much so, that it ruined me for a glove, which I always preferred for hunting.

I prefer a glove for hunting. Just works better for me in the field.
