A bit strange perhaps.
« on: May 04, 2019, 12:36:24 PM »
Todays dinner was tender duck breast, stewed stinging nettle, potatoes and Lingon jam. When spring comes I like to use fresh plants. Nettles is very good for your body. To make boil the fresh nettles a couple of minutes, rinse of water and cut to pieces. In a pan melt butter and slightly fry chopped onion, garlic and red chili, add the nettles with salt and pepper, heat and add fresh cream.
Desert was rhubarb soup with whipped cream.

Interesting!! We have no shortage of stinging needle here in Pennsylvania.do you eat the stem and leaf?

In the spring when the plants are small I use both stem and leaves. Later only the leaves.
