Taper question

Bored, and woke up early, so im playing with Binghams "Pronounced" takedown longbow lamination page

1-Why a reverse Taper with an other  "normal" taper ?
   doesnt 2 opposite tapers make a Parallel ?
2- this reverse taper is going to the Belly or Back side?

3-"optional center core"
     why would, what would, this be used for ?

4- Riser length  15 or 17 inches   is longer better ?

5- Add carbon, Core tuff, or Uniweft. ?  why would I want to do that ?

Im building  the Riser with Dark Walnut and Curly maple,
Limbs with Clear glass and want the walnut and/or Curly maple to be in the limbs also
and trying to figure out what wood would go where for a nice "Artsy-Old-Fartsy" Look

be kind, Ive only had 1/2 a cup of coffee so Far and the brain cells havnt re-alighned yet

The reverse tape will go on the ramp side of the wedge. Two lams or even three will have less spring back out of the form. Riser length kinda depends on bow length and do you want more or less working limb.  # 5 after you figure out stuff. You will be fine with all wood cores in LB. now on a curve use stablecore. If you use curly in the limbs make it veneers. Edge grain walnut makes good core wood.
