Point on distance and arrow length

Hey guys, just curious if there is any kind of a rule of thumb on about how much adding an inch of arrow will reduce your point on distance? Basically just wondering if you gained a lot this way or if it doesn't make a whole lot of difference.

Cannot imagine any rule of thumb.  My guess is the biggest change would come from where your anchor hand anchors/rests.  If it is low, the longer arrow would come up more, thus changing things more.  If you anchor close to your eye, not so much.

That is a really good assessment. In a field archery arrow I just went from a 30.5" arrow to a 28" arrow and with a pretty high anchor shooting split finger I only picked up 5 yards.
