Arrow selection question

I'm a compound shooter getting in to traditional archery, bascially for the first time.  I have a 3 piece takedown R/D Longbow that draws 55# @ 27".  

I am trying to now make my selection of arrows. In selecting my arrows for my compound hunting, I like the CX Terminator Hunter Select because it is heavy: 11 gpi.  I shoot a 6075 shaft there because my compound draws 65#.

My question is this: would the same CXTHS shaft in a 4560 spine be applicable for my longbow shooting if I got it at the proper length for my longbow?  I never see that shaft mentioned by traditional shooters but always see people trying to figure out ways to get more gpi's by adding weights of some sort or another. Seems like it's a good heavy shaft that would require less extra additions to get the total weight up to 550 grains or so.  

Any insight would be appreciated.

Never mind.

Just realized that the Terminator Hunters have been discontinued by the manufacturer. We now have the Heritage and the Edge Hunter shaft models to choose from in the CX line.

I would think the 6075 shaft would be too stiff for your bow.Tuning carbon arrows for a traditional bow can sometimes be alittle tough.Is your bow center shot,alot of the adding weight you see is tuning the arrows to your bow.The 4560 would most likely be better for a 55#@27 bow.Start full length and cut them alittle at a time to get the flight you want.You can use real thin plastic like what they put dry cleaning in,the bags.You can put it over the insert,press into the shaft and try it.It should hold snug enough to do your tuning.A good heavy shaft will most likely weigh more then 550 grs. because it will be stiffer and require more weight to get good flight out of it.I find with carbons it is best to do some bareshaft tuning before you cut them down.

Herry, good advice above but I will add that if ya draw 27"s and want only an 1" or so of arrow  hanging out past the riser you will need to add quite a bit of point weight to the 45/60, even if your bow is cut past center. I would start with 29"s and 225 point weight and tune from there. Meaning cut back a little at a time until ya get good bareshaft reults with that point weight. Shawn

Thanks, guys.  I've found some good 45/60 shafts that i'll bare tune with and cut back like you said until i get good flight. I'm actually going to start at 30" and cut down from there until they fly right.
