The Bow Bolt, who's tried it?

Greetings All,
Just as the post says; Who's built one into their bows?
What was your likes, dislikes? How much wood did you leave around it?
I'm thinking of trying one and am curious.
Happy hunting,
Jason

I don't build bows, but Toelke uses it in his take down whips. I have one and love it. No tools, quiet and simple.
Might give Dan a call.

I don't build bows either, but have one with it. I was told by the bowyer that a very strong wood needs to be used in the riser or there is risk of breakage. I have a dymondwood riser in mine. I talked to someone who had a problem with his bow loosening when shot with a quiver, but I have not experienced this. I love the convenience of the bow-bolt and recommend it if your riser is strong enough.

I had one come apart at full draw, it was kind of scary. It was on a bow that has an excellant reputation for quality so I would not put it as the bowyers fault, just one of those things I guess. I would not hesitate to buy another bow from them just not with a bow bolt.
