What ever happened to Stu Miller's spine calculator ?
« on: December 16, 2019, 01:29:56 PM »
Got to reading on here about some member asking about how to figure which arrow to use on his bow.

I remembered that Stu Miller had put together a pretty good spine calculator back in 2010 or so. He was adding
arrows every so often to the data base from which to work.  I found it to work quite well.  Fact is, back then, I did the figuring for several old members here.

Is his calculator still around and updated ?

I also found it very close to what I could replicate using bare shaft method.  I always use the calculator when helping others set up bow with properly spined arrows.

FYI - there's also a version on Rick Barbee's webpage at:
http://www.taylortel.net/~rickbarb/dynamic_spine_calculator.html

It has some more detail/info, but also has a few glitches

Thanks - I like this and it has A&H bows. Seems like these work a lot better when you can input your actual bow rather than "generic deflex" or something.
