Anyone have experience or comments on Wing Slim Line Red Wing Pro.  Are these the start of Bob Lee's?

Only recurve I've owned, so can't offer comparisons, but it seemed to be a perfectly good bow for me, for some years. I went from there to R/D's, preferring a slimmer, lighter grip. I believe Bob Lee was making bows long before this particular model.
Others who have been at it a lot longer will probably chime in with history. And lots of experienced archers here still shoot a Slim Line.
Mine was from the "AMF" era.

In 1967/68 Head Ski started the Slim Line of Wing bows. Bob Lee was still running the company and hired Bill Stewart away from Bear Archery. Bill Stewart designed the Slim Line of bows for Wing.

That said the Slim Line Red Wing Pro(52” & 58”)is a great bow as well as the Slim Line Vantage Pro(52” & 62”). During Head Ski production these bows had very skinny handles as they cut thru the fiberglass on back of handle and added glass overlays to the cut away handle portion. This created a more straight handle.

After AMF took over a couple years later the handles just had glass overlays added to the back of the already deflected handle. IMO, the AMF versions are better shooters.

When comparing the Red Wing Pro and the Red Wing Hunter, which were the same lengths I prefer the RWH, slightly although if one can find a skinny limbed one it would be a dead heat.

Regarding the Vantage Pro and Thunderbird I much prefer the Vantage Pro.

A buddy of mine has a AMF Slim Line that I have shot. Really nice bow.
We are all here because we are not all there.
