I spent time with my family and finally found a used H'bird lb that should be here in a few days. That will hold me for awhile I hope. Prayers for those with serious medical issues-don't know what I'd do in the same circumstances.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

My wife gave me a T shirt with a picture of an arrow. The front of the feathers are lifted up a bit and the caption is:
"It's only a fletch wound"...  :cheesy:

A Man Made of Elk. I've heard that's a good one so I'm excited to start it.
Steven Rinella's book on cooking wild game. Lots of neat stuff in there I'm looking forward to trying.
Sweatshirts and hats.
A new ice fishing rod that's a bit stiffer for fishing lake trout in deep water.
A couple trail cameras.

"Silvertip" book, Sitka light-weight hoodie, Sitka Kelvin Lite pants, insulted camo mittens and electric socks.  Far more than I deserve but I obviously have a wonderful family that encourages/supports my bowhunting passion. I'm a lucky man.

I will be picking mine up in less than a month now, a Northern Mist Skanee.  My wife and I will be heading down to the Trad Bow Expo in Kalamazoo on Friday the 24th of January and meet up with some friends coming up from Pennsylvania, and spending the weekend there.  Oh and taking her out for a birthday supper at Red Robins, that is her choice.

I got my wife, who, as of last month, is now cancer free.  Thats good enough for me.

That is an awesome Christmas gift. Great to hear your wife is free of this horrible disease.

My wife and girls were more than great to me this year.  I got the Meateater cookbook and hoody, new insert for my Glendale buck, and rangefinder.  My old man and mom bought me a new pair of Muck Artic Pro's and a LEM grinder.
I am beyond lucky

My bride got me Gentleman Jack and younger son gave me a beautiful drop point knife. We had family in as well. Life is good.

I have a 2 year old little princess and my 7 year old hunting/fishing/shop buddy. Nothing in the world beats watching your little ones at Christmas!

Aside from the pure family joy, my wife got me my long anticipated copy of "Silvertip". She also picked up a couple second hand pendeltons, one is a blue plaid that has been my cabinet shop shirt for the last 5 days and then she ordered me a beautiful Asbell Pathfinder in a grey plaid pattern. I LOVE wool plaids!

Big thumbs up on the cancer free! Wife went through the big C twice, first at 32 yrs old, all good for several years now but it's always in the back of your mind.

Wife got me a Laguiole en Aubrac pocket knife and her support to buy a 95 acre hunting farm here in Indiana  :goldtooth:

Closed on the farm on the 20th of Dec, not planned, but I'm always on the lookout and the place and the deal were just too good to pass up.  Got another project now  ;).

Best wishes for 2020 everyone!
