Best way to store traditional bows
« on: January 17, 2020, 02:47:41 PM »
What's the best way. I've seen hanging from peg vertically with peg pinched between string and the limb. Another way is two pegs mounted on wall level and bow set on them evenly.  I'm running out of room what does everyone do ?

I hang my longbows from pegs.  Never had a problem.  A horizontal rack takes up  too much wall space
for me.  6 bows fit into a 2 ft. space.

Horizontally, under the sofa in my carpeted den. Unstrung you can stack half a dozen or more. They are protected, out of sight from meddling eyes and hands, and easily accessible. Nobody knows they are there but me and my (grown) boys.

i dont need to save space so just hang mine across the point of elk racks...one little 6x6 has 9 bows hanging on it...the ones i shoot daily stay strung and are on a log bow rack that sits on top of my gun cabnet.

quivers and other stuff hang on point of other elk racks while my glove, tabs arm guards hang on deer racks...works for me  :bigsmyl:

Hung from a peg vertically. When a rack fills up you get another rack  :archer:, and then more bows to fill it.

Thanks for the help. I just wasn't sure if hanging by the one limb and string could be a chance of twisting a limb

I think as long as they're hanging straight down it's not a problem. I'm at the point where I need two per peg. Need to make another rack!

Can they be stored hanging like that with quiver and arrows on it, or should I take them off before hanging up ?
