What ever happened to Frank , a fella from Ohio, great guy to deal with . I know he had some health issues.....???
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Brian Krebs

Thank You for including Brian in your memorial post.  Caused me to research the original thread of his passing and re-live the bitter pain of the loss of my friend while fondly remembering the times spent over our campfire.  Man that guy could eat a bunch of ribs.....

I recall building Brian a set of arrows one year.  I had inscribed upon each arrow the following prayer:  May the evening thermal currents kiss the backside of your neck as you reach full draw.....  we shared a good laugh as he contemplated and eventually understood the meaning of that prayer.  Still brings a smile to my face.

Terry, I think the Trad Gang community would be well served to start a "Memorial Wall" section to remember our fallen buddies.  If we don't honor our own, no one else will.  Archery, and specifically Traditional Archery, has a way of getting into your bones and dictating a lifestyle that is both honorable and humbling.  It is right that we remember those who touched our lives through the stick and string, blazed a trail for us to follow and yet passed before our time.

Like Ron, my wife Lisa wasn't a member but she was with me and supported in everything that I did allowing me the time to run Pine Hollow Longbows and traveling all over the world with me. Many of you knew her from shoots and events that we attended.

My dad, known here as “Slow Bow Jimmy,” passed away October 22, 2018. He left to go deer hunting that morning and never even made it to his blind. We found him by a tree, his Ben Pearson Mach One laying beside him. He had a massive heart attack. He was 72 years old, and had milked his two years of retirement for all it was worth, mainly by returning to his love of traditional archery. He taught me to hunt growing up, and though I’ve been on a hiatus for many years, I’ve been getting some of his bows out and shooting with family—including my son—recently, keeping the tradition alive!

Milan Rancic.  I believe his username was Mooseran.  Bought a Pronghorn longbow from him and ended up talking on the phone with him for hours on multiple occasions.  He was a big time Bear memorabilia collector.

My oldest brother - Conny Trahan. His handle was Lil Bobby and came from what he called his very first traditional bow - a Bob Lee Signature Takedown Longbow. He passed away last year due to cancer.

He did not start traditional archery until about 10 years ago but boy did he love it. I was thankful that we got to share this passion together before he passed. He loved Trad Gang and even went on a Trad Gang hunt in Texas years ago.

His trophies were his time in the woods and the encounters with nature. He also took a real liking to collecting bows.

I think his love for traditional archery came from an very deep conviction in him that can be summed up in these words - "It matters HOW you do things - not just that you do them."

I love you brother and hunting will never be the same now that you are gone!

My oldest son Ken Jr, he wasn't a member of TG yet as he was just starting his trad journey and doing well at it.

His first was a mulie I passed at 12 yards as it was heading his way.  Second was a good whitetail he figured out on his own and got a great pic with.

Love and miss him all the time...

Stay sharp, Kenny.

Harry F. my father, passed 29 June 2018 at 88, he taught me a love and respect for the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping.  My brothers and I spent many weekends "up on the creek" fishing for brook trout, browns and rainbows.  He was not a member here, but spent several years chasing Whitetails with he Sears fiberglas bow and Bear arrows.

Everett Emerson Orben, grandfather who passed 15 Jan 1995 at 101 and 9 months.  He was a force in my young life as I spent summers working with him, cutting firewood, snaking out flag stone for walk ways in town, and fishing.  He didn't go many places without his Model 94 30/30 behind the seat of his Scout.  Spent many years hunting with that old man and the rest of the family in Northern PA.  Still have the Remington .30 cal pump rifle that killed the biggest bear in PA in 1923, which he gave me.  He taught me a respect for the woods that clings to me today.
Miss them both, but remember them more every day.
