3D shoots near Gatlinburg, TN?

Does anyone know if there is a 3D shoot held in the Gatlinburg, TN area?
It would be a great location for one where the whole family could enjoy. My wife doesn’t shoot but has always encouraged me to go. Even though she doesn’t shoot she likes to travel and she knows how to shop

The Tennessee Classic near Clarksville(30 mi. north of Nashville). Twin Oaks Bowhunters has sponsored this shoot for 23 years. Free camping, pot luck dinner on Saturday evening, 500 to 600 shooters and lots of wood bow building. Very family oriented. I've posted info for the Classic and the IBO World also to be held there this year.

Yes sir, been to Twin Oaks during one of the IBO World Championship. And no doubt top tier shoot and location. Had a blast!
But also love the Gatlinburg, TN area and wondering if there is a shoot I’m not aware of there.
If not, why not? Would be a great venue for a Trad shoot👍

The Olde Farts have monthly shoots at Fairfield Glade, just a couple of mile from Crossville, Tn. Check the state club section on here. I think the lady who is the Boss goes by Old Doe.

The IBO traditional world championship is in Chapmansboro, Tenn. this year on the 16,17,18, and 19th of July at Twin Oaks. Always a great event.

My family and I have gone to Gatlinburg a couple of times over spring break, but I was never able to find anything archery related unfortunately. Hopefully I just didn't look hard enough.

I live across the mountains from Gatlinburg and there is very little in the way of 3D shoots around here. Maybe north GA or SC but not here in NC.

Yeah, unfortunately you’re out of luck. I live about 1 1/2 hours north of Gatlinburg and this area is a wasteland for archery shoots of any kind.

Seriously though it would be a great place to hold a nice shoot. If it could be scheduled where it didn’t conflict with other popular shoots (Spring Fling, Twin Oaks shoots, HH Classic, etc...).
Great family place with something for all to do. Great restaurants, shopping, nighttime entertainment, etc...

I've always felt like the Gatlinburg area wood be great also. I guess with property valued so high and the terrain so steep it would probably be hard to do, my opinion only.

Terry,
If there’s a person better suited than you to promote and make a first class shoot in that area I’d like to meet him😁
Your shoots have always been top tier!
If a location could be secured I’d go for sure!

Thank you John, very kind of you to say. I'm hoping to see you at this year's HH Classic. Believe me when I tell ya, the announcements I have coming are pretty special.

Terry,
For the last 10 + years I had two shoots to always plan leave around. The Pre-Spring Arrow Fling and the Howard Hill Classic. Haven’t missed to many in that time frame.
In the last couple years have branched out to the IBO worlds at Twin Oaks (another Top tier event) and been to several of the ASTB events.
Tennessee is just an awesome state to visit and if someone ever get an event going I’ll be planning to go.
