Life lessons
« on: February 02, 2020, 04:43:47 PM »
Today is the final day of deer season here in Ohio. It is windy, and I don’t have high expectations of seeing much, if anything. I do however have the privilege of sharing the woods with my daughter this evening.

She cannot draw 40# yet, so cannot hunt with traditional equipment. Her love for the outdoors however, is as strong as anyone’s. Like me, she also hates wearing headnets, and prefers face paint.

Which brings us to the life lesson..........NEVER let someone else put on your face paint. Especially dad!!! :biglaugh:

What other lessons are learned the hard way?

Some hunt to survive; some survive to hunt

Take advantage of it.  Those days are gone way too fast!

You might lock the bedroom door before you fall asleep.   Paybacks can be rough.

I only ever let my dad do that to me once when I was younger. I'm still waiting for my opportunity for payback. :saywhat:

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Really Neat....  However, as Whittler said....  I wouldn't fall asleep on the couch, or look through any binos that she handed me, and I would check the toilet seat befor becoming comfortable.  Things like honey and some cleansers can ruin your day(s).  Oh yea, then there is the shampoo.

Just sayin....  cause you got one coming.
