When they come out of the bow they are kicking left. I shoot a glove.

Yep....the nock end is hitting the riser....arrow material is not the cause.... it's the spine.

I have had trouble trying to tune carbons out of my Northern Mist bows, GT 500's and 400's shooting full length down to 28" which doesn't leave me room for a broad head as it will hit the front of my riser. I have shot 125 grain tips up to 250 tips.  I could get ok flight and no noise from full length 400's, my brace height runs right around 6 3/4" depending on the bow model.  My bows vary from 48 pounds to 54 pounds,  I purchased a test kit from Surewood Shafts and settled on 60-65 spine with a 9 1/2" back taper shooting 225 up front, I have recently switched to 160 grain tips and am still getting good flight, the wood shafts do seem quieter, but may just be the nature of the material. I think part of my issue was with how the riser is cut and trying to get the shafts around it as quiet as possible.  I also shoot split finger with a glove with these bows.  I tried shooting 3 under like with me recurves, but just seemed to have more tuning issues, which again I thing goes back to how my riser is cut.  Good luck in your quest!!

Terry, I think you should write a book about all the kills those arrows have made in your spare time!!!! That's awesome!!
Too many bows to list, and so many more I want to try!  Keep the wind in your face, and your broadheads sharp.

Terry is right on the money. Arrow is too stiff. I am shooting bows in the 43#-50# range at a 27.75" draw length and ended up shooting a .500 spine arrow at 29" to the back of the point with 3-4" parabolic feathers. I use 250 grains up front with a standard aluminum insert and these bare shaft great. Finished arrow weight comes in at 480 grains up to over 600 grains depending on the brand of arrow shaft.
With carbon shafts, I have found that the length of the shaft is more critical than the amount of weight on the business end. I have some .500s that are cut to 28.5" to bop and with a 250 grain head, I needed to go to a 100 grain brass insert to get good bare shaft flight with my 45# longbow. With the same shaft/point and a standard insert a bare shaft shoots stiff and is noticeably noisier on release. Leaving the shaft just a half inch of shaft quiets things down and gives great flight.
Play around with length and point/insert weight a bit until you come up with what works best for you. If I was hunting pigs I'd choose my heavier arrow/insert combination which comes out right at 13 grains per pound. For 3D, whitetail and turkey the lighter set up comes in at around 10.5 grains per pound.
Figuring this stuff out can be frustrating, but once you get a handle on it, it's part of the fun! Having the right arrow and broadhead (or field point) configuration that flies true gives you a lot of confidence in your shot, whether it's a 3D target or an animal. Good luck!

Jason, those are some of my special arrows... not all of my special arrows mind you ....as some of them went off into the oblivion in the thick stuff I hunt a lot.

I saved thos due to the animal, the difficulty of the shot, where I was at or who I was with.  They are all tagged and definitely have a story behind them.

Did raising your brace help?....

I was hoping to hear back to see if that helped so that we can all learn something......

I'm also found that by making sure that you're nock point is set so the top of the nock point is at 3/8ths and you nock over is a great knock point place for just about any bow.
