Anyone tried a Verna?
« on: April 13, 2008, 09:42:00 PM »
Anyone tried one of these longbows from Samick.  I have always thought that the Samick line was lower quality and all that.  Am I wrong, are they worth a shot? (Pun intended of course!  :)

I bought one several months ago. Lancaster Archery Supply had a closeout on the Verna for $169.00. It shoots good....quiet, smooth, no hand shock....It's a good bow for the price.

They are not bad for the price.  I had a 60lber and it was pretty shocky with anything but FF.  It shot good enough to kill a deer with. If you can get one cheap go for it but otherwise I would save my pennies.

Like any samick the finish is lacking but the verna is a solid shooter and a good value.....
