I, too, sold my climber in december, but not because of switching to ground hunting, but because I've been Hunting exclusively out of a saddle  for the last 3 seasons.  reduced weight and increased packability. and if I feel like ground hunting I just set my tether on the tree so my feet can touch the ground (basically using it as a tree seat.)...

I really like the Millenium product line.  I use the Millenium Chair as opposed to the tree seat.  The chair is a 360 swivel on adjustable tripod legs.  Not a lot of trees big enough to hook the tree seat on to where I hunt.  I just back the chair off into some brush and you are good to go.  If you use it in conjunction with a ghillie suit you are really in high cotton.

I still hunt out of tree stands for deer mostly hang on stands but for ground hunting I am a huge Waldrop Pac Seat fan.  It is a very versatile seat either stand alone or leaning against a tree.  My turkey hunting setup is primarily with this seat and I pack my decoys with a bungee net that I picked up at Harbor Freight to attach them to and it works great.

Cheapo foam pad.  Stuffs in a backpack to take anywhere.  Approaching hunting seasons, I practice from this seated position about as much as from standing.  Only costs a few bucks.  My backpack becomes my back rest.  I don't know how many hours I've spent napping...  I mean hunting from this simple seat.
