Stalker Jackal XT Longbow
« on: June 10, 2020, 08:37:55 PM »
I just picked up a great little bow blind 54” Stalker Jackal XT Recurve. Can someone post pics of a Jackal with Longbow limbs?  I might get a set of Longbow limbs to go with the Recurve limbs but would like a pic of them. Also, how do you like how the Stalker Longbow shoots?

Thanks.

I had South build me a set of LB limbs for my Coyote FXT a few seasons ago.

Typical South build quality and attention to detail. They were quick, but noticeably a bit louder then my recurve limbs in the same length (62").

Full caveat though, I really didn't go looking at different setups after I got them initially tuned, I'm sure a heavier setup grain wise and maybe some silencers would've quited them down a bunch.

Regretably I sold them setup on another Stalker Coyote FXT riser (the one pictured below) with intentions of ordering a new Stalker Coyote FXT LB or Dingo 1pc, but that has yet to happen.

Save for the different handle config, the profile of the LB Limbs can be seen below during a Turkey hunt w/ decoys.

Hey Doug , I'm happy to hear that you like the Jackal it's a great shooting bow ! I have the Coyote with 58" longbow limbs @48#. I thought that the Jackal that you have now shot very comparable with no noticeable difference in noise. I was shooting the same arrows out of them @ 620 grn. I just couldn't pass up the deal with Scott to get a old bow of mine that he had back. A new set of LB limbs from South wouldn't disappoint IMOP. Anyhow I sure hope the Jackal brings you much success

Take care,
Steve
