I need some Stugeon Skins.
« on: April 17, 2008, 10:38:00 PM »
Anybody know where I can get some Sturgeon Skins?
I have a special bow in the works for the St. Jude’s Auction and am looking for some sturgeon skin to give it a special touch/look.  Anybody got some they are willing to part with?  If so let me know what you need for enough to do a 64" bow.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Walt - you might try the Oregon or the Wisconson connections - as I know for sure they have seasons on them there where you can reduce them to food ( unlike here where we cannot take them from the water).
 Good luck on your quest.

Brian, I know about the Idaho regulations, I moved to Montana from the McCall/Riggins area.  Somewhere I have a picture of me and my cousin with the fourteen foot sturgeon he caught along side his boat in 1986 or 87.

Try Raptor Archery, Ted used to sell them.
