I stopped by the Saw mill shoot in Morris county Pa today and talked with the kind people  running the traditional shoot (they also run ETAR denton hill) and they told me that depending on the turn out this weekend they would consider a 2nd traditional archery only shoot  this summer or fall at Saw mill (a sort of denton hill replacement).
So if you really are missing Denton hill get off your butts and get to Sawmill, they are the same wonderful people running both. and stated that do to this lock down they're barely making ends meet and have put everything into the shoot to open it up.(they didn't even have tee shirts ordered)
BUT THEY OPEN AND THE RANGES ARE GREAT!

That’s great hope they get the support needed.  Many will be adversely effected by this shut down.

Please note this would be a TRADITIONAL only shoot REAL BOWS, NOT the all bow(wheel) that is always held in late summer :deadhorse:

Well It's a go for the 2nd trad only Sawmill shoot :bigsmyl: :clapper: :archer2:
this is from their web site:

What a great weekend here for STAR. We loved seeing you all, and getting a chance to get caught up with all the crazy stories from the past year.

We are definitely doing another shoot here, over ETAR weekend July 23-26, 2020. More details to come.
We want to be clear this will not be another ETAR, at Sawmill, because just logistically to make that transition in such a short time, really does ETAR a disservice. However we have had an overwhelming response to the possibility of having another traditional shoot here at Sawmill, so we will definitely start making plans that way. We will be inviting dealers to the shoot, so if you are a dealer and would like to come, please message us, to get on the list.

As we begin to make plans we will update w/ more information. We will see everyone back in July!

Sawmill is a good time.  Look up Inn 287 for a basic room and some good food at good prices right next to the location of the shoot.

TTT- Anyone here going to be shooting Friday and Saturday? I don’t have any trad friends that are going. This will be my first time at Sawmill. I’m stationed down in DC for the year and plan to make the drive up. Much closer than what it would be from my home in Maine.

Leaving western Maryand Wednesday at 0400 praying I'll find a place to set up to camp NOT in the open field in the sun! I've never been to Sawmill either so this will be a "trial run" for me. Shooting will almost be secondary but really looking to just unplug for a few days. Our family has a lifelong friend that lives in Cedar Run, due west of Sawmill so I hope to visit her.
