tuning question
« on: April 19, 2008, 06:34:00 PM »
1. on bareshaft tuning you pay attention to where the arrow strikes not neccesarilly nock position. i am a left handed shooter and i have been bareshafting arrows today and i am grouping two inches to the left of my target at 25 yards but my nocks are nock right.

2 if i go from a larger diameter shaft like a goldtip to a smaller shaft like an easton axis i would have to go up in point weight to get the same spine. correct ?  i have some 3555's and they spine at .400 and i was thinking about getting some easton axis 400's.

thanks for your help

1.  I'm no bareshaft expert, but both group left and nock right would indicate weak spine for a LH shooter.

2.  I think it is the other way.  The smaller dia shaft sits closer to center and therefore acts weaker and needs to be stiffer.  That means less point weight.

I'm starting to confuse myself just thinking about it.
