My first ILF was a old compound bow riser converted to ILF. That’s called a Warf. Then a Hoyt Excel riser my son bought me. Now I have a couple metal risers and on wood. Yes, they are my fun bows. I have different length risers and limbs and the beauty of switching them around at my wim. As for setup most of the risers are meant to be shot from an elevated rest. Now the Hoyt Satori can be done off the shelf with the kit that comes with it. Agian more options.
Your goal for the bow, target, 3D, hunting, or all the above should help you decide how you want to setup the bow. Hunting is the easiest, no organization rules to follow.
