First from a saddle!

Last year my buddy Rocky purchased a tree saddle and got me to thinking about trying it. He let me borrow it last month which really got me researching. I ended up dropping some coin on a Tethrd Menance and built a platform to be used with a Primal Step (modified with Amsteel vs the factory strap). My set is complete with a trio of Hawk Helium sticks— again, modified with Amsteel.
I’ve been learning a lot about set up, sequencing; and, most importantly, how to shoot a stickbow from one. The first sit with Rocky’s saddle, and limited practice, cost me a wall-hanger. Hoping he’s still out there.
Oct 23rd, Rocky and I headed out knowing weekend hours were limited. I’ll let the pics and post shot video tell the rest of the story...

Sadly my phone died, so the recovery will just have to live in our memory banks. So cool to double with a buddy on our first whitetails from saddles. God is good! Amen!?

I can afford to shoot most any bow I like. And I like Primal Tech bows.

Congrats on your take!
saddles are fun, they work very well here, we have such limited number of trees you could put a conventional stand in, I can now hunt out of any tree, makes a huge difference.
I have an H2, with modified LW sticks, my entire set up platform, 4 sticks, saddle, etc. weighs 8 pounds.

Rocky hunts from an H2. I really liked it. What platform are you using?

Look forward to seeing the seat brother.
Yes, super pumped I got it done from a saddle. She even came in on the weak side forcing me to spin around, prop my right leg against the tree, and bear weight on the side of my platform-- which remained steady. She stared me down for almost a minute in that position!
Really starting to dig the hang-'n-hunt!
