I keep my heads razor sharp by touching them up every couple of days when hunting, sometimes every day. I usually take a couple of practice shots every day.  Even though my broadheads are in a foam bow quiver, that shooting vibrates the quiver and dulls the the heads ever so slightly. Or sometimes it mists, rains or snows.  The no. 1 arrow that was nocked during the precipitation will invariably begin rusting within a day if not cleaned, dried and touched up. Long story short, I'm always checking the sharpness of my broadheads and touching them up while hunting.
