Demoing a Silvertip!
« on: April 23, 2008, 05:37:00 PM »
What a blast-smooth, fast, quiet, beautiful fit and finish- great shooting LB

I love everything about it

Looks cut to center and a really nice checkering job-does not cut into my skin at all

The tips transition really well to the limb

Beautiful workmanship, and a really good hunting finish.
For the past 18 months I have been pretty monogamous, shooting my ACS CX, so I decided it was time for something new.......The two bows are surprisingly similar in feel and shoot where I look.
The riser cut and the grip is ideal IMO-like other RD's and very similar to a Morrison and my ACS.
Out to 25 yards it is pretty much identical compared to a similar weight ACS and shooting 12.5-13 GPP; so the transition for me is gonna' be an easy one.
Beth thank you for sending out all those pics so promptly, and answering all my questions- now get your order book ready!

That's a beautiful looking bow! Looks very similar in risor design etc. to my Wolverine. What are the specs on this bow? Dave does some amazing work hey! I love his bows!  ;)

This one is 64" and 46#@28, I am leaning towards a 3 piece depending on the riser weight-don't like them too heavy.

Bjorn, get the one piece. my 64", 63#@28" one piece is my pride and joy, and I've never shot any bow better than this one. I wish I had a TD 2 pieces, which is discontinued, unfortunately.

Why did you have to go and post those pics???

I thought I was well satisfied with my Schafer recurve......NOW I WANT A LONGBOW TOO!!

IMO the Schafer line is one of the best crafted bows out there; and performance is top notch as well.  Plus Dave and Beth are great to work with.

Bjorn, the 3pc is an awesome bow. I demoed one a few weeks ago. Simply superb.
