2 Special Knives
« on: November 05, 2020, 04:14:07 PM »
I have a good friend who's dad passed away this summer. Him and his brother asked me to make them 2 matching knives using a couple of his old files and then some of his deer antlers for the handles. I love projects like this! In addition to the files and antlers, I had them get me a couple of his old tshirts to make some micarta spacers from.

Here are the end results.

The 2 old files.

His old t-shirts now turned into micarta spacers.

Finished products.

I made each knife a display. The board on the left can be used to display a picture of their dad if they choose.

Just now seeing this.  Great job on the knives and you truly are a special friend for doing this.  This will mean a lot to these brothers particularly each year as they get ready for the upcoming hunting season!
