Homemade Side Quiver

I'm thinking about trying a side quiver made from an old bow quiver. I'd like to see pics of yours if you have tried it and how you liked using one. What did you use for a strap and connections? Do you use a waist belt too?

I made this one with an old Selway bow quiver. I removed the hood and arrow holder from the limb attachments and attached them to a slat of wood that I covered with snake skin. I keep my fletch cover wrapped around the slat when not in use. This is my hunting quiver. I use a side stalker style quiver for target and 3D. I use a shoulder strap but other attachments could also be used. I like this for hunting because it holds the arrows securely and quietly. Also I can slide it behind me to get it out of the way or hold it under my arm when sneaking through tight spots.

I am looking forward to following this thread!  I have often thought about going this route as I like not having a quiver attached to the bow due to additional weight and also it is one more thing I have to consider when maneuvering in a stand when game is approaching.

Nice quiver. The over the shoulder cat quivers are so functional here where its really thick in the bush.

I made a couple of these from old Kwikee Quivers.  I made my best guess as to how I thought it would hang best, then drilled 2 holes to pass a loop of parachord through.  After making the loops in the parachord I attached a length of 1/2” nylon webbing to those loops for for my strap.  I found it worked best for me to put the quiver strap over my shoulder before putting on my backpack.  The quiver rides just below the waist belt and the pack keeps the quiver from sliding around.  I haven’t taken it hunting yet but so far so good with some stump shooting and hiking the mountains of E TN

I did a simple Kwikee Kwiver style like Michael with the paracord strap but also added quick disconnects to my tree stands so I can attach the quiver to the stand once seated. I have it where it is out of the way but easily accessible when another arrow is needed.
