Bow and arrows are for kids

I started shooting a bow and arrow in 1962.
I was six years old and I just loved it.
And like the title says, bow and arrows are for kids....
Sure glad I never grew up.

I shot my first bow in gym class in 1968. I harassed my Dad after that until he bought me my first bow in 1969. I've been shooting recurves and longbows ever since.

Think I was 12 when I plunked down $12.50 for an Indian Archery Lemon wood bow and set of arrows. Still have the bow. Let’s see that’s 64 years ago. Lately I have felt a little older but the enthusiasm hasn’t gone down any.

Been 60 years for me, sure dosn't seem that long. started with making my own out of sticks. I think my Dad felt sorry for me and I got a Ben Pearson jet bow set for my 7th birthday. My Dad always encourged me and helped me make what I needed. It just dosn't quit!!!!

Been 53 years for me and I'm still just maturing. Bought my first bow at age 11 a new Browning Mohawk with arrows for $25 after Dad taking me to a Wally Taber show with a clip of Fred Bear.

I don’t remember when I got my first bow, a red fiberglass Bear, but probably would have been late 1980s or early 1990s. My dad kept it all of these years, so it’s now come back to me. I still remember messing up arrows by shooting them in the dirt with no field tips.
Now I’m slowly starting the journey with my own son, and loving every minute of it.

I started shooting in the mid 50s. It was a lot easier then.
