I've never had trouble getting heavy spines from Surewood when I wanted them, you might reach out directly.

Based on what you said my suggestion for elk would be a Zwickey Eskimo 4 blade.  They penetrate way better than a multi-blade should and are tough.  Probably have to trade or scour classifieds for them though.  The Eclipse 4 blade would be as good or better but pricier.

Thank you all
I have it narrowed down to... vpa 3 blade, deep six with bleeders, eclipse , abowyer single bevel, Wensel  woodmans, and some Zwickeys   If i can find them and possibly some single bevel centaurs that I only have 3 of... :biglaugh: :biglaugh:

Those iron will heads don't have the best angle of attack. Too stubby.  Way to many other great heads out there that do. I also don't like trocar tips.

Best of luck.

There are many heads that will work with your combo.  I can only speak from experience with woods and aluminum.  Wood will tend towards heavier arrows and whatever COC point you go with look at its track record.  We all have our favorites from our own experience.
