An not so quick sbs single bevel Broadhead comparison.
« on: March 08, 2021, 09:56:02 AM »

These are the heads I have on my arrows in 2021. I have not seen an actual side by side video illustration so I made one. This includes tuffhead 300/190, cutthroat 160, and grizzly Kodiak 235 and grizzly 185.

This is obviously opinion based.

That's a good review. I have some of the meatheads and whatever the green ones are. I also have some of the cutthroat. I haven't killed anything with any of them. I like that the point on the Tuff Heads seems quite a bit point sharper than the rest. They seem longer and leaner also to me a true 3 to one ratio.

Very good comparison review.

I too have shot the Grizzly 185's and the Kodiak 235's exclusively for many years now, even before I'd even heard of Dr Ashby's and his studies.

The 235 grain Kodiaks have been a great Buffalo and pig broadhead, and the 185's work great on deer and goats too. All have been shot on heavy wood arrows from either a 65lb or a 75lb Blackwidow longbow.

Cannot comment on the others as I have not had any experience with them, but based on my experience with the Grizzlys, I'd say you are spot on re the other broadheads.

Again, well done, nice video.

Best

Good hunting to you all.
