Florida Panhandle Hog Hunting
« on: April 14, 2021, 10:07:25 AM »
Hey all.   My wife is a contract nurse and will be starting a new contract in June in Florida. She will be staying in Carrabelle, which looks about an hour southwest of Tallahassee.  I plan on visiting her a few times over the summer and had intentions on bringing my bow and looking for an opportunity to stick a hog someplace over there.

I’ve read up on some of the regs for Tate’s Hell wma,  Tate’s Hell NF,  Apalachicola WMA, Blackwater WMA....etc and it looks like there’s an actual season on pigs out there that ends in March when small game season ends,  except for private property.

Is it worth even taking a bow out there with me or is there a place in that area that allows hog hunting during the summer months that’s not on private land?

Thanks guys!
