CO GMU 54

I have drawn a archery tag for Unit 54 this year. Do any members have any experience in this unit? I no it is rugged and I'm sure it will have its fair share of outfitter camps. I think there are 4 who are licensed in the unit, neither of which have been to accommodating in providing a "pack out only" fee . I am planning a DIY hunt the first 8 days of the season. I hunted Unit 53 last year and experienced a lot of pressure and go into elk 7-8 miles in. If there is anyone hunting the unit in the same general area, I would be interested in hooking up to help each other pack an elk out.

Depending on where in unit 54 you plan to hunt, I know of an outfitter who can help you.  I have also hunted 53 many times and plan to hunt 54 in 2022.  Drew Wyoiming general for this year (first time to hunt Wyoming). Private message me please.
