Big Jim Thunderchild or big Stick Gremlin
«

Hello everyone! I have a question about the 2 bows, Living up in Canada it is hard to be able to try them, so hoping people here can help. I am looking at getting one of these bows, but wonder how people find them, or if they have shot them both, how do they compare.
I am thinking I need a 58" as I draw to about 30" I currently shoot a Black Widow PSA with the standard grip. How do the grips on both of these bows compare to the Black Widow?
Thanks for the Help!

Thunderchild is a sweet shooting stick. I had one and traded it. If I'd known then what I know now . . .
Mine was a few years old and only cut to center. I like mine cut an eighth past and let it go.

I'm partial to the thunderchild but have never heard of the big stick before therefore cannot compare. It's been so long since I've shot a widow I couldn't get you a comparison of grips.
I know of multiple thunderchild in Montreal

I too have never heard of Big Stick, but as an owner of a Thunderchild I can tell you they are very well made, crafted, and shoot great with no real negatives..... I killed a hog on my first hunt with it, and it was the 1st shot on game as well with it.

I've never heard of big stick either, but my friend has a Thunderchild and it shoots lights out. After shooting his over a weekend hunt, I want one bad.

Big Jim makes an outstanding bow with a great attention to detail. I've owned two of his bows and I wouldn't hesitate to get 2 more.

I find the grips on my bw pl and my Thunderchild to be close. Perhaps that helps you with a reference point. There are several posts on here about the tc and draw lengths. Big Jim draws 31” iirc and has no problem with stacking on his tc. Perhaps he’ll see this and chime in. If you’re free weekend after next come on down to Gods Country and join us at Cloverdale, Jim oughtta there.

Thanks everyone. I would love to come down, but boarders are still closed so pretty much makes it impossible to come down and try one and enjoy the weekend.

I have never shot a Big Stick Gremlin or even seen one, but I know that I sure do Love my Thunderchild. I find myself reaching for my thunderchild over my toelke whip on a regular basis.

I too know nothing of the Big Stick as I have never seen one.. I'm sure they offer a nice bow.
I will tell you that I can make the grip the way you would like it if you are ordering a custom..
I also have a 32" draw and shoot the 58" bow with no issues. At 30"s you could shoot either the 56" or the 58". We ship to Canadia regularly as well.
Thank you, BigJim
