ETAR 2021
« on: July 17, 2021, 12:36:39 PM »
So who all is heading to ETAR this week? It will definitely be different with the new location. We are in full packing mode and heading out in the morning. Any goals while there? I want to try out some big Jim bows, the bear Kodiak 59, and any hill style ASL bows I can get my hands on. Gonna grab some as bell wool while I’m at it! So who’s going?!

There is an additional course just west of Sawmill and some minor changes to the courses from last month.  There is more than enough room for camping.

Went to ETAR today. Not too bad for getting 7" of rain last week.

Did some shopping, shot some arrows, met friends, good time!

The new location has potential for the growth that Denton Hill lacked. That being said, I missed DH. Been going there since the first one.

I couldn’t agree more with the positive comments  on Facebook etc.  Mike and family did an unbelievably great job preparing for this event as well as the work going on during.

If you shot at Sawmill in June, you had to be astonished at all the improvements and changes that occurred during that short time span. We made an effort to let Mike and others know just how impressed that we were.

If you missed this one, plan on making next years. You won’t be disappointed. In fact, you will be utterly shocked at just how well this new chapter in ETAR history is.

Karen and I (EFA) didn't make it either. Anyone know  the attendance, and how about the Eagle Eye? How many qualified and who won it?    :clapper: :archer2: :clapper:

I believe it was 22 qualified for the eagle eye and Alex Melnik won it in the first round. Shooting a wood arrow from a barebow.

Not going to lie, I didn't know what to expect this year.  New location,  not as many vendors, very saturated ground ect.  I REALLY  enjoyed it!!  The coures were great, plenty of room to stretch out. We cannot control the rain, so a few areas were muddy.  I didn't see any Amish women complaining,  so why should I with boots on. This site has great potential.  I will say this though,  they MUST keep that shuttle truck rolling in the future as well. Quite a long walk.  Great Times
